R&M’s engineers are proficient in designing progressive dies for the life of your production parts. Whether it’s 10,000 or 10,000,000 parts we design tools that last for the entire product life cycle and beyond.
Our designers’ work with your CAD solid model to produce the die design using the latest model of Solidworks 3D CAD supported with the Logopress 3 design module. We are able to use the solid design model with simulation to ensure that the design is correct and will run with no interference.
In addition to progressive designs, R&M also provides short run blanking, compound and forming tools. 1 thousand to 10 million, we have a design for you.
We specialize in cost reduction by perfecting part design and exploring different ways to make parts. This will help you stay within your project budget. For example, we may be able to completely stamp a part that was previously a subassembly. By implementing some minor changes, we may also be able to stamp a part that was typically machined. We will work with you to explore all production options.
R&M offers design and engineering assistance to help our customers create the best parts and mechanical assemblies possible. We assist your engineering team with 3D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping with 3D Printers, Prototyping using soft and hard tooling, and reverse engineering.
R&M’s 3P process ensures that NPI parts are ready for pre- and post-production.
Prototyping is an interactive process in which we build a functional model for our customer before production. Each project begins with meeting with the customer to discuss part requirements. We are involved from the beginning with part design so the part will be easy to manufacture and economical. Once specifications are set, the part is created digitally as a new part drawing. This drawing is considered the first design (rev.1) of the part and will be saved. Any revisions will be created separately (rev.2, rev.3, etc.). Changes needed to meet functional requirements or customer requests will be made in the prototype phase before production.
We have fully network integrated CAD/CAM programming for design, unfolding, bending, laser cutting and punching to produce your sheet metal parts. We can work with your 3D solid or wire frame designs in all CAD formats. Our unfolding software utilizes a true 3D solid model to check for interference and collisions between the part, tools and brake. Once programmed, the CNC code is delivered to our CNC machine control to produce your parts. This advanced software ensures that your part will be produced right the first time and every time.
